    Have you read "The Goblin Wood"? I've not gotten very far but it's a story of a young almost-not-quite witch on the run.

    I haven't read your summary yet, but based on the bits you've posted it made me think of you and I wondered if you'd heard of it/looked at it for comparison purposes.

    Dang, dang, and double dang. I looked Hilari Bell up. She has a story about a witch and another about a unicorn. What the heck! I've never heard of her, never read her stuff.

    I guess we must think alike . . .

    The story line is quite different, as is the intended age of the audience (mine is older YA, her's is younger).
