The President and Vice President of Rhemalda, Rhett and Emmaline Hoffmeister, were driving through Utah a little while ago, so we contrived to meet at a McDonalds. While the kids played, we chatted books, publishing, and of course Witch Song.
It was so much fun to meet the people I’ve worked with so closely over the last year. I’m so thrilled to be with Rhemalda. They’re always available for my questions or to reassure me during my moments of utter panic (I’m embarassed to admit that I’ve had more than one). They’ve given Witch a FREAKIN’ FANTASTIC cover. We’ve been partners through the whole process.
You guys rock!

David: No part 2 at the moment. Perhaps in the future.
Michael: Ha! You don't know me very well. I panic plenty (I hide it well).
Rhett doesn't look as tall next to you as he does next to me. I'm so short. Sigh. Hah. So glad you got to meet each other!
He's still pretty tall. I'm nearly 6 foot. So he's what, 6'5"?
It's great that you have such a good relationship with your publisher. He looks like a very approachable guy. It is a great cover – very haunting expression!
Rhett & Emmaline are very personable, and I've only worked with them as a reviewer! They're nice folks, and if I ever manage to write a book somehow, I'll be sure to shop it there first 🙂
